Presidential Statement

Blue Ridge Community College is a great place to work because our employees are passionate about the mission of helping students create a better life for themselves through education and training. We serve a wide range of educational needs in our community and I am always so grateful to hear from community members how impactful our employees have been in influencing their success. Blue Ridge Community College faculty, staff and administrators become energized by the work we do. We see in our work the ability to return to others the wonderful gifts of mentorship and support we ourselves received earlier in our lives.

The Mission of Blue Ridge means a great deal to me. Our open access means everyone has a chance. All employees are focused on the success of our students. We are fortunate that our senior leadership is open, approachable, and service oriented. They are supportive and appreciative of our efforts. All staff are helpful and work together well to accomplish our goals.
