What makes your college a great place to work?
Presidential Statement
Lander University is seen by its students, faculty, staff and administration as a great place to work because of the familial environment of its small town and small college setting. Communication is vital to the success of Lander University, and it is given top priority. The administration attends not only the monthly faculty senate meetings, but also holds what is known as "faculty informational meetings," where upcoming goals and projects are announced (with opportunities for faculty to respond) in an effort to keep the faculty informed. In addition, the administration just last year has also added a permanent staff senate in order to provide another forum for Lander's unique workforce. In addition to the yearly faculty recognition awards, Lander University recognizes the "employee of the month" and has a staff excellence awards breakfast each March to recognize employees who have gone above and beyond the call.
Employee Comment
I appreciate the team work and collaboration across campus. It is truly a blessing to work in a place where folks pull together. We can all put aside our personal thoughts/opinions for the greater good.
